And Generation Jones doesn’t just play it, they bring to every performance the mastery, skill and experience of being on some of the world’s biggest stages.

The band’s highly talented 7-piece roster, including 3-piece horn section, bring massive energy to the stage at each performance. The band is influenced by classic funk artists such as Fred Wesley, The Meters, Clyde Stubblefield, and Herbie Hancock. Charanga Agozá, a charanga ensemble based in Madison, Wisconsin, was formed in 2009. The group plays charanga, a dance oriented musical genre that originated in Cuba at the turn of the twentieth century and peaked in the 1950s. Charangas also became popular in New York City during the early days of the salsa movement in the 60s and 70s.
Musical styles featured in Charanga Agozá’s repertoire include danzón, cha cha, mambo, and modern day salsa played charanga-style.

At first glance, you may not know what to make of The Beth Kille band. The farm boy, the intellectual, the ex-Marine, all backing up a wild-haired, acrobat. But then, the show begins, and you know you’re about to be wrapped in the arms of a cohesive unit, bonded in the kinship of music. Their style can best be described as Americana-Rock but these dynamic performers can play everything from folk to funk to in-your-face rock.

Drawing from Americana, bluegrass, and old time influences, Annie & the Oakies are the peerless wing-shots of the Madison, WI, acoustic music scene. Emerging from the ashes of the Oak Street Ramblers, who were midwest favorites for nearly two decades, Annie & the Oakies released their eponymous debut album in 2022. The album has received regular radio play, and A&TO has played several high profile shows since then. An EP of new material is set to be released in the summer of 2024.
